I have been working with clients for over 10 years in individual, couple, family, and group settings. I use a range of different theories to best meet the needs of the client(s).

My specialties are:

  • Relationships
  • Pregnant and New Moms
  • Substance Abuse
  • Adolescents

If you are struggling with a life transition then I'm your therapist! Life never stays the same, and we are constantly forced to adapt and adjust ourselves to keep up.

Trying to do this while in a relationship can be extremely challenging. It helps to have a trained professional guide the relationship through whatever direction it needs to go.

The pre and postpartum stage contains so many struggles that are unique to this transition and it can be very overwhelming. I have taken additional training specific to helping pregnant and new moms adjust to all of the new demands and stressors.  (I am also a mom myself!)

If you or a loved one is struggling with substance abuse, then you're not alone. This disease knows no boundaries. I have spent years working with people towards recovery and have implemented different techniques depending on each person's situation. And most importantly to hold on to hope even in the darkest of times.

If you are a parent dealing with an adolescent, you know the difficulties with this stage of life. The issues often include social media/internet, brain and hormone changes,  the power of friendships and so much more! I have many tools I can teach you to use such as different forms of communication, boundaries and rewards. I have worked with many adolescents to guide them through the best possible transition into adulthood. This is their time to start exercising their own personal freedoms balanced with taking  responsibility for their choices.

The therapeutic modalities that I tend to find the most success with are:

  • Mindfulness Based Approach: Focuses on increasing awareness so that you can respond with intention in the present moment rather then react based on past experiences
  • Motivational Interviewing promotes  awareness of your own motives towards change
  • Solution Focused targets shorter term therapy addressing the specific goals you would like to work on and building on your strengths
  • Strategic Therapy focuses on creating functional roles and rules within a family.
